Steamed savoury custard eggs

  1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, chicken stock, Maggi seasoning, and ground white pepper until well combined.
  2. Pour the egg mixture into a heatproof dish. Place the dish in a steamer basket.
  3. Steam for 14 minutes. You can check for doneness by seeing if the custard is set but still slightly wobbly in the centre.
  4. Once steamed, remove the custard from the steamer and allow it to cool slightly.
  5. Garnish the top of the custard with chilli crisps and finely sliced chives.
