Prep time: 1 min
Cook time: 10 min
Servings: 6
Ingredients
- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour (about 280g)
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1/2 cup warm water (about 120ml)
- 1 tsp active dry yeast (7g)
- 3 heaped tbsp plain yoghurt
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tbsp oil
- 3 tbsp melted butter
- 2 cloves garlic, crushed
- small handful of coriander, sliced thin
Directions
- Start by mixing together the flour, sugar, warm water, yeast, yoghurt, salt, and a drizzle of olive oil in a mixing bowl.
- Once the dough starts to form into a ball, turn it out onto a floured surface and knead for 8-10 minutes or until it's smooth.
- Place the dough back into a greased bowl and cover with a tea towel for 30-40 minutes, or until it has doubled in size.
- Remove the dough from the bowl and place it onto an oiled surface. Cut the dough into 8 even pieces.
- Roll each piece into a tight, smooth ball before rolling them out with a rolling pin.
- On one side, place some crushed garlic and sliced coriander, then flip and roll out once more to embed them into the dough.
- Cook the naan in a hot pan until bubbles form and it is golden brown on both sides. As soon as they're cooked, brush with some melted butter.
